Notes - Miriam & Arthur baptised on same day
Arthur and his brother Joseph were in the same trade - making leather goods. There are a series of entries in the London Phone Books (1913-1916) which give his profession as leather goods manufacturer and an address at 10 Station Rd, Hornsey. This must have been a business address as the electoral register for the same period gives his residence as Tottenham.
He joined the Army Service Corps in 1917 (reg no 312703) and professed a preference for becoming a saddler. The record is very faded, though, and it’s difficult to make out any more detail. He seemed to have served in the Woolwich depot and left the army unscathed.
Arthur left a will. His goods were valued at £2093 17s 3d and probate was granted in 1931
